The Expert Advisor section of TAO for Energy Codes gives the user access to a panel of experts. Access will be by electronic submission with future versions including scheduled live "Ask the Expert" sessions, discussion boards, or webcasts. Advisors are nationally recognized professionals in the fields of building design and construction, including architects, engineers, and contractors. The Expert Advisor includes background functions that automatically acknowledge receipt of the question, and routes the request to the relevant advisor(s). The project manager is notified when a question has been received and where it has been directed. The response is then sent to the appropriate reviewer, before being forwarded to the TAO participant. The demo illustrates three request forms. Other forms can be configured for specific needs or for specific routing.
